ReSET Story
ReSET is a D.C.-based non-profit volunteer organization that partners retired scientists, engineers, and technicians with elementary school teachers to improve science motivation and literacy in children K-6. Our goal is to make science and math accessible, relevant, and fun!
Since 1988, ReSET has served the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Volunteers work in local elementary schools teaching children hands-on, inquiry-based science experiments. We are the only volunteer program in the city that brings real scientists into elementary school classrooms. We hope to initiate children on a rewarding journey of discovery and educational enrichment, and introduce them to careers that can offer a variety of personal and professional benefits.
