“My astronomy-related projects gave my fifth-grade students a fun way to learn geography and mathematics, as well as astronomy. The main portion of my program was on time. We made and used three types of clocks and investigated the lengths of days in June and December in various latitudes. I enjoyed working with the children and sharing their enthusiasm.”

Just one – that’s enough to want to work with these students. I volunteer at a school in a poor neighborhood. I want the students to realize that they can be whatever they choose – just the same as students anywhere else.”
